Welcome to Day 00 of my #100DaysOfCloudDevOps challenge!

As someone stepping into the vast world of technology with aspirations of landing my first role in Cloud DevOps, I've decided to embark on an adventure: the "100 Days of Cloud DevOps" challenge. This challenge isn't just about learning; it's about immersing myself in the fundamentals of cloud computing and DevOps practices, all while building the skills needed to kickstart my career.

This blog series serves as the foundation for sharing ideas, fostering growth, and reaching new milestones in Cloud DevOps! I began this process on March 18, 2024 (Monday), and plan to continue until September 2024. I will be dedicating minimum one hour each day, excluding weekends and holidays, to gaining a foundational understanding of the various aspects of Cloud DevOps.

In this article, I'll share what the 100 Days of Cloud DevOps challenge is all about and why I'm excited to take it on as a beginner in the tech field.

What is the 100 Days of Cloud DevOps Challenge?

The 100 Days of Cloud DevOps challenge is like a roadmap for beginners like me to dive into cloud computing and DevOps concepts. It's designed to help newcomers like myself develop a strong foundation by dedicating at least an hour each day to learning, experimenting, and applying what we've learned in real-world scenarios.

Rather than overwhelming us with complex theories, this challenge encourages hands-on practice. We get to explore various resources, including online courses, tutorials, and community forums, to grasp topics like cloud services, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and more. It's all about learning by doing

Why Am I Taking This Challenge?

  1. Career Exploration: As someone aiming for their first role in tech, I see the 100 Days of Cloud DevOps challenge as a fantastic opportunity to explore the field of Cloud DevOps in-depth. By dedicating time to learning these concepts, I'm not only preparing myself for potential job opportunities but also discovering where my interests lie within the tech industry.

  2. Skill Building: Starting from scratch can be daunting, but this challenge breaks down the learning process into manageable daily tasks. By committing to daily practice, I'm building a solid skill set that's essential for entering the tech workforce. From understanding cloud infrastructure to mastering DevOps tools, every step brings me closer to becoming a competent professional.

  3. Personal Growth: Beyond just acquiring technical skills, this challenge is also about personal growth. It's about developing discipline, resilience, and a growth mindset that will serve me well not only in my tech career but in life as a whole. Each day presents an opportunity to overcome challenges, learn from mistakes, and grow stronger along the way.

  4. Community Support: One of the most exciting aspects of this challenge is being part of the supportive tech community. As a beginner, having access to a network of like-minded individuals who are on the same journey as me provides valuable encouragement and guidance. We share resources, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to keep pushing forward. If you are experienced Cloud DevOps professional or just starting out like me, I am reaching out to you too, your insights, encouragement, and guidance are incredibly valuable.

Making it my own:

I'll combine the learning techniques I grasp from my University Degree, #100Devs, Techgrounds, Women Who Code, Codam Amsterdam, DataTalks.Club, Code First Girls, TechWorld with Nana, John Savill's Technical Training, Shubham Londhe's and Michael Cade's #90DaysOfDevOps and other helpful resources and community out there!

Embarking on the 100 Days of Cloud DevOps challenge is more than just a learning experience for me; it's a step towards fulfilling my goal of breaking into the tech industry.

As a beginner, I'm excited to embrace the journey ahead, knowing that every day will bring new discoveries and opportunities for growth. With determination, perseverance, and the support of a vibrant community, I'm confident that I'll emerge from this challenge not only with newfound skills but also as a skilled and proficient practitioner ready to make a meaningful impact in the tech industry.
